Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later discharged.
Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.
The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
